This has been an exciting year in real estate and it's not half over yet. I have so much to share so let's jump right in and get started. You've probably seen or heard it by now. I've moved my company, Horizon Realty, LLC to Dadeville, Alabama. It's just a short distance from my home in Auburn, Alabama where my husband and I still reside. (Auburn area over 26 years) I've been asked, "WHY?" Well... It just makes sense for my business. I grew up in Reeltown, Alabama and graduated Reeltown High School. My Father's family is from a small community called Union that you probably have heard of, especially if you are familiar with Lake Martin. My Mother's family has strong family ties to the Tallapoosa county area as well. I married an Opelika native, Kevin Adcock and we raised our girls in the Auburn area. March came in like a lion with wild weather and a spike in the real estate market. Now here we are in April and the weather is fantastic. It's the perfect time to put your property on the market or to get out and about and find your new dream home. Let's start with the numbers in Auburn. Sixty two homes closed in March in Auburn. That's double the amount closed in February. It's a significant increase from 2018. AUBURN Resale Homes Data Time frame is from Jan 2015 to March 2019 Property Type is 'Residential' Property Sub Type is 'Residential' Area is 'Auburn' Sales, Number of Month 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 Jan 24 34 40 31 29 Feb 27 34 26 51 32 Mar 36 37 54 50 62 Twenty five new construction homes sold in March, a whopping 16 more homes than February. Looking at the year after year numbers for March shows 2017 as the best year yet. All other years are consistent with numbers within 4 homes of each other.
